Bung Privacy Policy

Bung (“we”, “us”) is a mobile app for tracking tips, bills and nearby places. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

• Account data. When you sign in with Google or email we receive your name, email address and profile photo. New accounts are reviewed by an administrator before access is granted.
• Tips and bills. Amounts, dates, notes and receipt photos you choose to record.
• Location. With your permission we use your device location, including in the background if you allow it, to show restaurants and places near you.
• Camera and photos. With your permission we access the camera or photo library so you can scan receipts.
• Diagnostics and usage. Crash reports and anonymous usage events that help us keep the app working.

• Provide, maintain and secure your account and records.
• Show places near your current location.
• Read receipt images to pre-fill bill details.
• Diagnose crashes and improve the app.

We rely on the following providers, each bound by their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics)
• Google Places API (nearby places)
• Google Gemini API (receipt text extraction)
• Cloudinary (receipt image storage)

We do not sell your personal information.

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app, or by emailing us at support@bungapp.com. Local data stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.

You can revoke location, camera and photo permissions at any time in your device settings. Some features will stop working without them.

Bung is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app and the date above will be revised.
